An Open Letter to... Most Everyone
Dear Most Everyone,
Why don't you recognize her as the force she is?
I mean, you went to see her in The Devil Wears Prada, and she even got some (completely deserved) attention for it, including a Golden Globe! She even won a non-related Golden Globe! And her name is awesome in more ways than one's name should be!
So, again:
Why isn't she famous-famous yet?
I mean, she's sort of a name. I can -get- that. But she's nowhere near where she should be, is she?She had quick, thankless and unmentioned roles in Charlie Wilson's War and Dan in Real Life last year (the former in which she was hella sexy), and absolutely terrific in The Jane Austen Book Club (which, if it wasn't SPC and were released wide, probably would've been a hit).
And this year she has the Sundance film Sunshine Cleaning (with Amy Adams) and The Young frickin' Victoria, which better get her that Oscar nomination she didn't get for TDWP. I don't see how it won't, actually.
Being Threateningly Serious,
J.D.

Emily is hot.
Make her famous!
Hmm, I have only seen her in Charlie Wilson's War (or so IMDB tells me). I guess I better watch the Prada movie one day or better yet, Dan in Real Life. Seems like a decent movie to watch.
Very cute and very under-rated. Good call.
I saw Charlie Wilson's war and have no recollection of her.
She was the half-naked/drunk chick who wanted to f**k and fell asleep in his lap while he was talking to Roberts on the phone, remember?
It's sad that scarcely anyone else remembers her in it either.
She is amazing, and for her age, BRILLIANT. Her comic timing is really good, I mean she was the funniest thing in TDWP!
She was so cute in Jane Austen Book Club, she sure looked great.
I only expect her to get more recognition in the years to come.
Did I mention that she is SMOKING?
*Here's to hoping 2008/9 is her year, if she wins an Oscar, I will be so happy*
Oh, and I forgot to say that "Sunshine Cleaning" is one of my most anticipated viewings of 2008. As is "The Young Victoria"....hope 2008 is as good as 2007 was, cinema wise that is.
Agreed, man. Totally agree.

I saw her many times on the BAFTAs last night and I decided she is not attractive. I really did n't care for her in 'Prada' and I doubt I'll go out of my way to see anything she's in. She is in my "Eh, take her or leave her, but mostly leave her" book now. Laura Linney is much more deserving of worship, praise, and fame.
You disappoint me, Doctor. For shame.
I haven't caught on to this Emily Blunt fever that's been going around... I'll leave you young folks to your strange drugs and loud music.
Absolutely. She's talented, she's gorgeous, she's not an attention whore. I love her.
