Bon Jovi Everyone

Saoirse is gonna rock, isn't she? I knew it! And now some things, brought to you by this picture of Julianne Moore licking a katana...

First off, Linky in a block. What happened this week? Bumper stickers, Southland Tales, the iSplotchy was announced, confusion caused by the cross-dressing of a true actor, Ellen Page, Satan had a boob job, Jodie Foster made Jesus weep, naked teenagers, a Top 10 of 2006 even later than mine, schizo mindf@#king, "unintentional" perversion, and they found Osama.

And, to my pleasant surprise, IMDb has put up some new pics from Elizabeth: The Golden Age:

And it has a 9-point-frickin-0, people! Sure it's from only 95 votes, and of course that's gonna change, but if it wasn't that good wouldn't it be lower? Wouldn't it? Of course I still WANT NOW! Seriously!

And for a finale, I will now bake a cow. The cow of... JMC07. I have seen 17 films thus far this year, the same I did last year this time, which is weird, since I didn't start the 2006 filmgoing year until mid-April, and 2007 February. What I'll be doing now is a mock-up of the year to this point of what I've seen. Preliminaries basically. But only the six major categories. It's kinda pointless, but an assessment that might prove necessary one day...

Sandra Bullock in "Premonition" as Best Actress? Really? While she was unintentionally funny at points in the film (the coffin scene, her yelling "Jim, get out of the car!), her performance was not a great stretch by any means. I hope it's because you haven't seen more films that she made the top 5.

Well, the only other on the list is Drew Barrymore in Music & Lyrics, so...

But I was really surprised by the movie, mainly because of all the people who said it was crap. And Bullock was surprisingly good.

And of the five, Knightley and Bullock will drop off (if they don't I'd be scared), Kidman is very unlikely, and Shannon has an uphill battle to fight.

And this time last year, the prelim winner was Audrey Tautou in The Da Vinci Code. Just get it over with [hears uproarious laughter]. By the end, she was around 15th place, and the ultimate winner was the greatest performance ever given. See?

Although Robb will easily get the sentimental and the young votes. She'll last thorughout the next year, I'm sure.
