I Make You Thunk?

It's been six months now that I've seen this self-congratulatory meme go around and around and around, and it kept hitting the same people. So guess what? I GOT IT! Thank you, Captain Incredible, and by extension Becca! But there are rules, but I don't care (I have an award! SUCK IT WHITNEY HOUSTON!):

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think.
2. Link to this post so that people can find the exact origin of the meme.
3. Optional: Proudly display the Thinking Blogger Award on your site with a link to the post that you wrote.

So, who makes me thunk that wouldn't be bitchy about doing this for the 7th time? Hm...

I: Here Comes Johnny Yen Again... is a blog I only recently started reading, but I love it. There are hundreds of millions of Chicago bloggers, aren't there? :D But this one's a keeper.

II: LAZY EYE THEATRE's Piper is one of the more opinionated film bloggers out there, and I like that. And obviously, opinions lead to conversation, which leads to arguments, which leads to (say it with me) thinking. Yes, after arguing. Tell me you think when you argue, tell me you can even hear your brain when you're yelling at someone about something that's pointless.

III + IV: And now, a two-for-one-as-two: Zaius Nation and Monkey Muck, the war of the Simian Presidential hopefuls. It's intoxicating to watch it go back and forth, the shots and the slams and the vagrant use of Scarlett Johansson. It's all wowza-ish.

V: And last but certainly not least is My New Plaid Pants. One of my all-time favorite blogs, JA brings everything from film and music to horror and gratuitousness, and even now has a Seventh Seal banner, which is poignantly awesome.

So Johnny, Piper, Dr. Zaius, Dr. Von Monkerstein, and JA, you all make me think. Take pride in it. But it's not like making me barf. Only a stomach flu can do that.

Many thanks J.D. I'm glad my thunking has made you a thunk more. It's always an honor when people recognize my blood, sweat and tears. I must run now and make for some more thinking.

Thanks JD! Though I'd take pride in it if I could make you barf, too... have to work harder, I guess!
